Lincoln is an eclectic city full of old and new meaning that it is an incredible city to Snapchat and Insta to your hearts content! Here is a few places you definitely need to take a picture of…. it’ll last longer.

The Arboretum

Lincoln's Arboretum is a Grade II listed park, firstly opened in the late 1800's it features a small pond, a small maze, band stand and a lion! This park is definitely a place to visit in the summer months for a picnic but also transforms into a winter wonderland if it snows in the colder months.

Brayford Pool

A central point of the city. On one side runs a long selection of restaurants, while the University of Lincoln sits on the other side. An expanse of water sat in the middle of a city doesn't sound that interesting but the wildlife you can spot is definitely worth the visit. You’re almost guaranteed a picture of one of Lincoln’s swans if you pay a visit.

Lincoln Castle

The castle holds host to one of Lincoln's best tourist attractions, the wall walk. If you go at sunset, the cathedral is lit by the glowing sky. When I went I travelled up to the top of the wall in the lift and when I stepped out I audibly gasped at the sight in-front of me.

Lincoln Cathedral

I don't think this needs much of an explanation. The historical building that sits proudly on the top of the hill can be seen from most areas of the city. Why not have a walk inside, it gives you a clearer idea for the size and scale of it.

Steep Hill/High Street

Lincoln’s high street and, appropriately named, Steep Hill. This shopping area holds many hidden treasures. From gift shops to tea rooms it has it all. Walk the hill slowly to take it all in and it won't feel so bad try to go early in the morning for a ‘people-free’ shot.
