Christmas Market day four: Cancelled

Due to amber warnings of snow and ice, day four of the annual Lincoln Christmas was cancelled. The City of Lincoln Council made the decision late on Saturday night, before announcing it to the dismay of thousands of visitors who would now be missing out.

Despite the warnings, a very small amount of snow fell and left the City with only a slight dusting.

The closure received mixed responses from people far and wide. Some people felt that the closure was justified, with the danger risk being too large.

Stallholders were heartbroken having worked towards the market all year.

Finally, some people took to sarcasm to bury their sorrows and make light of the sad closure of the market.
