Regardless of whether you're new to Lincoln and want to find the best places to go when feeling nocturnal, or a student wishing to venture out of the same old weekly venues; I have conjured up my Top 9 favourite places to go to truly get the feel of Lincoln's nightlife.
1. The Strait and Narrow
The Strait and Narrow opened in 2012 with the goal of putting exactly the right drink in the hand of the customer, whatever they wanted. They sell 120+ bottles of beer from all over the world, lots of continental draught, real ale, a comprehensive and contemporary wine list.
2. Vice & Co
Lincoln's only Speakeasy Bar. Specialising in cocktails and fantastic atmosphere. Also serving a fine selection of Beers, Ciders and Spirits.
3. Home
Centrally located in Lincoln, home is a venue to eat, drink, relax, party and entertain all under one roof.
4. Hop & Barley Micropub
A small single room micropub based on the south of Lincoln's High Street with an ever changing range of real ale, and craft beer and cider.. The Hop and Barley is Lincoln's first micropub - a unique establishment serving beer and cider in a single room.
5. The Engine Shed
The Engine Shed has welcomed bands such as Kings of Leon, Stereophonics, Gorillaz, Kasabian, 30 Seconds to Mars, and many more; also playing host to amazing DJ's such as Fatboy Slim, Kissy Sellout, Jaguar Skills, and the incredible Zane Lowe. Not to forget they have hosted the genius of Frankie Boyle, Russell Howard, Jason Manford, Sarah Millican to name a few.
6. Moka & Shack
The Club is situated on Silver Street, a building that has hosted a nightclub for over three decades. Featuring state of the art sound and lighting effects, visuals and unrivalled entertainment. This is a clubbing experience you don't want to miss. With variety and choice, let the music guide you to your destination whatever the occasion.
7. Bierkeller
A true German bierkeller and restaurant is bringing a slice of Munich culture and atmosphere straight onto your doorstep in Lincoln. The Original Bierkeller will be full of traditions from Steins to Oompah Bands, Bratwurst to Haxen and Lederhosen.
